August 17, 2011 Yoshi Masuda, President of Fujitsu Frontech North America, a provider of IT-based business solutions, announced the commitment of a recurring annual scholarship fund at CV-TEC to help develop an enhanced curriculum centered on supply chain and logistics. Mr. Masuda made the announcement at the August 17, 2011 FedEx Landing Event and Donation Ceremony at CV-TEC’s Plattsburgh Aeronautical Institute. "CV-TEC is very appreciative of the scholarship fund commitment from Fujitsu. We are eagerly looking forward to working with them and to their support in developing enhanced programs that meet the needs of our area employers. Giving our local students as much competitive advantage in their education and specialized training means the region can continue on the path of attracting global business partners, like Fujitsu," said James McCartney III, principal of the CV-TEC satellite campus in Plattsburgh. Fujitsu is currently expanding its facility at TDC's Air Industrial Park as a result of an announcement in May, 2011 that it is consolidating its manufacturing and supply chain operations in Plattsburgh.
