Erin M. Hynes, Economic Developer

Erin M. Hynes joined The Development Corporation as the Economic Developer in 2008. At The Development Corporation, she assists in the planning, initiation, implementation and administration of programs to attract industries to locate or expand to Clinton County.

Prior to joining TDC in 2008, Ms. Hynes worked for several years in various capacities within the NYS State Legislature in Albany. Most recently, she served as the Director of Public Policy for the Assembly Minority Conference, where she was responsible for overseeing the creation and dissemination of the Conference’s legislative agendas, projects and policy initiatives. She also served as the Legislative Analyst for the Economic Development and Real Property Tax Standing Committees. 

Ms. Hynes currently serves on the North Country Workforce Investment Board and is a member of its Executive Committee. In addition, Ms. Hynes serves on the Clinton Community College Foundation Board, the CVPH Corporate Board, and the North Country Alliance (NCA) Board. She is a member of the NYS Economic Development Council as well as a contributing writer for Strictly Business Magazine. 

A Plattsburgh native, Ms. Hynes holds a Bachelors degree in Political Science with a Canadian Studies Minor from SUNY Plattsburgh and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Vermont.
