Workforce Development

One WorkSource
One WorkSource is the one-stop employment center of the local Workforce Investment Board which serves the North Country region's employment and training needs. The center fills the demand for both employers' worker needs and matches employees to job skills training and employment listings.

Small Business Development

North County Small Business Development Center
The North Country Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Plattsburgh State University is part of a statewide network of 23 regional centers located throughout New York State. The New York State SBDC (NYS/SBDC) is accredited by the Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC) and has more than two decades of serving the small business community.

Empire State Development provides a variety of assistance aimed at helping businesses; whether you are an international company looking to make a move or a small business owner wanting to access capital – ESD is here to help. Business First is a business-focused portal to the wealth of incentives, programs and resources available to companies – large and small – within New York State and those that choose to relocate here.

Regional Economic Development

North Country Alliance
The North Country Alliance is a private-public consortium of economic development organizations, private businesses, utilities, public and private colleges, the media and financial institutions working to grow the economy of New York's six-county North Country region. Its role is to offer a single point of access to the resources you need to expand or locate your business in the Northern New York.

Regional Chamber of Commerce

North Country Chamber of Commerce
The North Country Chamber of Commerce is a regional chamber serving Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton and northern Warren Counties in New York State and southern Quebec. With more than 3,200 members, it is the largest business alliance in northern New York and one of the five largest chambers in the state
